Anyone for a Blat?

The previous post's mention of the gritter truck was not meant to have been the harbinger of what then followed! Doesn't seem long ago that I posted a similar picture...

-6.5C is taking it's toll on the 7 's battery, so that's the excuse for running the car up to temperature in the garage and delivering the word of the X-flow to the neighbourhood! The carbon monoxide exhaust cocktail is strangely soporific I find.

I'll have to start summarising the year soon, planning next year's activities and organising the Sunrisers Annual Awards Dinner (or lunch at the pub, to reflect the true scale of things).

Indeedy - must get the charger onto my battery - Winter upgrades start on 2nd Jan !

What's it all about?

It's about putting together a good couple of hours on the road in our favourite cars and seeking that balance of pace, control, excitement and involvement that only comes from spirited 'blats'very early in the morning ...or even late at night.

The essence of what we enjoy I'll attempt to capture here with words, images, links and stuff. The Sunrise 7 Squadron members (Sunrisers) can use the blog as a reference point for scramble calls and reminders of our activities I guess, but I'm hoping to find it useful as a place to portray the abstract that is blatting and to build a resource that will illustrate the simple pleasure of 'driving for fun'... it may not be a freedom afforded to us forever, and I'd like to have a reminder of how it was!
